1. Adkin Ales have made a successful guest appearance at the Bitter Suite in Preston, Lancashire (See www.bittersuitepreston.co.uk) in 2008

Locale of the Reading Beer Festival 2009

One of the most sought-after awards at Reading is "Locale of the Festival". This was judged in a blind tasting on Thursday 30 April 2009 and the results were as follows.

Overall Winners

·         Gold: st Berkshire - Dr Hexter's Healer   - West Berks Brewery

·         Silver: Ascot Ales – Anastasia's Imperial Stout  - Ascot Ales

·         Bronze: Loddon       – Flight of Fancy  - Loddon

Stout, Porter and Old Ale Category

·         Gold: Ascot Ales – Anastasia’s Imperial Stout - Ascot ales

·         Silver:           – Alfred's JP Stout  - Adkin

·         Bronze: Ascot Ales - Anastasia's Exile Stout  - Ascot ales
